This top layer enhances immersion and envelopment, helping to minimise peak pressures and reduce the risk of pressure injuries up to Stage 1, which are common among individuals with limited mobility and higher body mass.

The mattress cover plays a vital role in infection control and skin protection. It is flame-retardant, liquid-resistant, breathable, and anti-bacterial, supporting moisture management and helping prevent maceration. Its machine-washable design (up to 95°C) ensures ease of maintenance and compliance with strict hygiene protocols in both clinical and community environments.

From a safety and compliance standpoint, the mattress holds ISO Classification 18 12 18 – 25, is categorised as Risk Class I, and is manufactured in accordance with international labour and medical device standards.
