Mountain Trike eTrike All Terrain Wheelchair

The Mountain Trike eTrike redefines off-road mobility with its hybrid electric-assist system and rugged design. Offering three versatile drive modes – manual, powered, or both – it provides adaptable support for a range of mobility levels and conditions. Engineered with clinical insight, the eTrike delivers postural stability, shock absorption, and intuitive control across diverse outdoor settings. Whether navigating woodland trails, parks, or urban pathways, the eTrike empowers users to go further with confidence and comfort. Compact, transportable, and upgradeable, it is a long-term investment in independence, participation, and adventure.

The Mountain Trike eTrike is a clinically robust, electric-assist all-terrain wheelchair designed to enhance mobility, independence, and outdoor participation for individuals who require additional propulsion support. Built on the proven Mountain Trike chassis, the eTrike combines manual and powered operation, making it ideal for users with varying levels of upper body strength or fatigue thresholds, as well as for those wishing to go further, faster, or navigate more demanding environments.

The hybrid drive system offers exceptional flexibility with three modes of operation: fully manual lever propulsion (keeping hands clean and dry), throttle-controlled power assist (via twist or thumb throttle), or a combined hybrid mode for maximised efficiency and control. This makes the eTrike particularly suitable for users managing progressive conditions, those undergoing rehabilitation, or anyone needing variable support depending on terrain or fatigue levels.

Clinically, the eTrike provides excellent spinal and postural alignment through its 20° ergonomic bucket seatingmoulded foam cushions, and tension-adjustable backrest strapsRockShox Monarch R Air suspension helps to minimise vibration and jarring over uneven ground, supporting musculoskeletal health. The SRAM Level hydraulic disc brakes ensure reliable stopping power across all weather conditions, promoting safety and confidence in diverse environments.

Its lightweight aluminium frameadjustable footrest, and compact folding design enhance usability and transportability—key for users and carers in both community and travel settings. The 250W hub motor and 12.8Ah lithium-ion battery offer a range of approximately 8–20 miles depending on terrain and rider input, with a top speed of 8mph.

With a maximum user weight of 100 kg and height suitability up to 6’4”, the eTrike accommodates a broad range of users and offers long-term value with optional upgrades like extended seat depth or powered conversion kits. Users with an existing Mountain Trike can also upgrade via the eKit retrofit system, promoting sustainability and cost efficiency.
