The Mountain Trike eKit is an electric power assist add-on compatible with both the Mountain Trike (self-propelled model) and the MT Push (attendant-propelled model). Designed to enhance user access to the outdoors, this versatile kit can be retrofitted to existing Trikes, enabling users or carers to tackle longer distances, steeper gradients, and more varied terrain with less effort.
For Mountain Trike riders, the eKit provides flexible usage options:

Hybrid Mode combining both manual propulsion and throttle for enhanced support during challenging sections.
For MT Push users, the eKit transforms the experience for the attendant by eliminating the physical exertion required to push. The intuitive thumb throttle, mounted on the push handle, allows for seamless power delivery—empowering families, carers, and support workers to venture further and with less fatigue.
Weighing only 6kg, the system includes a 250W rear hub motor, 12.8Ah lithium-ion battery, and an LCD control display showing speed, distance, and power settings. With up to five assist levels, users can tailor the power output to match the terrain or fatigue levels.
This retrofit option allows existing Mountain Trike or MT Push owners to economically upgrade without replacing their entire chair. It supports increased community access, physical engagement, and independence for users with progressive conditions or varying energy levels.
